We as Mom's will lose our Sh*t
When my kids push every button I have, they will make me lose my sh*t!
Recently I saw a video that a mom made about how, you can look at a mom and think she never loses her sh*t. Well I can tell you that when you are not looking we mothers lose our sh*t all the f*cking time!
I seem to be that mom that sees red almost every day. This has become a normal thing for me. Kids are smarter than we think and after years of living with me, they know how to make me see red. They must know that when they ask the same question that they did 2 min ago, it will aggravate me. That doing this over and over again will make it much easier, to make mommy lose her sh*t. Telling then to do something, then realising that they didn't hear me due to "selective hearing" will send me over the edge.
Who knew that making my children go outside could be such a chore! It was the February break and that meant I had all 3 kids to myself the entire week. Making these kids go outside is painful. It's either "NO I don't want to!" or "First I have to pee!." 10 min later they still have to pee or still haven't realised, that I wasn't asking I was telling them. 10 min after that, they are finally dressed but then my 6 yr old says "Mommy I have to tell you something....." I wait and listen only to find out that it is something silly and stupid. They are finally outside and the only one left is the "BOY" (2yrold). This kid HATES winter! Hates everything about it, that he has to wear boots or socks. The wind is to cold or in his face. Me and him have been outside 5 minutes and he is crying. Inside we go strip it all off and leave it in a pile. Mission Accomplished they pissed me off in under 30 min! The record has been under a minute.
The point I am trying to make, is that all moms at some point will lose their sh*t. We don't know when it will happen, but we know it will. It happens at least once a day, if not more. I does happen in public but we tend to keep our voice down, can't say the same for child. When you hear a child screaming in the store just think about how that mom must feel. If it isn't their first child they will not be bothered. I see moms with their first child screaming and they are red faced and embarrassed.
Dear First time mom: Don't be embarrassed, hold your ground and ignore all those looks from people that don't know what is happening, or why they are screaming. Do your best to ignore those older people who have a comment for everything. Those who ask "what is wrong ?" In the sweetest voice they can muster. All of this is very annoying for you the one who is trying to get the child to behave. While everyone gives you side ways looks and some times you can ever hear the whispering. In between your child is taking a big breath in order to cry more. Please know that not everyone is doing this. I know this feeling all to well, and I am here to tell you. You are not the only one, if you feel you need to leave the store Do it! If you have the guts to stay and get your groceries good for you! It's okay to loose your Sh*t!
