Welcome!! A bit about Me!
Hello everyone my name is Jennifer! I am a MOM of 3 beautiful kids! Rienette (8 yrs), Hailey (6yrs), Wyatt (2yrs). This is the place where all our stories will come out. Along with many rants, car seat and stroller reviews, and possibly anything else. You never know what might happen!
To start out I am not one of those mom's that tries to be perfect. I almost never have my hair done and wearing jeans is only for date night. Sweat pants have become my go to pants besides the very comfortable leggings that everyone seems to have a opinion on. I forget a lot of things that one of those perfect moms would never forget. Neither am I one of those moms that volunteers for everything! The very few true mom friends that i do have are very different to the ones that i see talking all the time in the hall at school. They are always making play dates because they all decided to get pregnant at the same time, so that they could drink their wine together and text back and forth about all the things. To be clear i have never been one of those girls that had a lot of girl friends, In fact for a bit i had none. For a time my best friend was Walt Disney and all his movies because they never told you that you had a big mouth, or didn't hang out with you because you dressed differently than the others. I am one of those moms that believes in independent play, doing your own thing, and i do parent differently as all parents do. Our house is full of Doctor Who and StarWars, not all those crazy shows that give people PTSD from watching one episode. So with that on to my latest mess up as a parent!
I have a potty mouth! For example we as family can often be found playing on the PS4 together on teams and taking turns. One evening me and i oldest were playing a mission on StarWars and I messed up and said quote "Dam it!". The next day when my 6 yr old was playing i hear my mistake clear as day when while playing she suddenly said "Dam it!'. The thoughts that ran through my head for what seemed like the next hr were by no means any better. In fact i would say they were worse! Thoughts such as "F*CK! what have i done?" or "Sh*t what did she just say?" followed by "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?' said out loud. The next couple of hrs where spent trying to reason with my own brain on how to control my potty mouth around my children, and mulling over the very lame excuse that i tried to give my 6 yr old "those are mommy words only mommy gets to say stuff like that!". I can tell you that telling your children that will not stop them from using those words. Safe to say that i still haven't figured out how to control my mouth when i am mad at silly things or my children. I will up date you when i do finally figure it out!
